The Museum of Us is a cultural anthropology museum dedicated to inspiring human connection by exploring the human experience. Group Museum Visits

The Museum of Us is happy to welcome you, and your group, to the museum. Below you will find more information about the various pricing structures for your group visit and the registration links. Please note: At this time, all group visits to the Museum are self-guided only. We are unable to offer any guided tours of the Museum at this time. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Group Pricing Information

The Museum of Us offers a new 2022 group pricing structure that reflects our commitment to making the Museum accessible to our community. Below are the admissions pricing options that the Museum currently offers for individual students, student groups, and other adult groups.  

Group pricing is only available when you register your tour dates and times through the Education Department. Please click on the links below to submit your request to schedule a group visit to the Museum of Us. Once your information is received, a representative from the Education Department will contact you within seven business days. Please be patient with our very small team of educators. We value your request and will email you back as soon as possible.

Discounted Group Admission (Self-Guided): $10.95 per person 

Discounted rate for school and adult group registration, including: school field trips, student groups, and adult groups.  

  • Does not include enrollment to Membership on Us
  • Available to pre-approved adult chaperones visiting with scheduled school groups
  • Must be pre-scheduled and registered through the Education Department to receive this discounted admission price.

Individual Student Admission: $16.95 per person 

Individuals enrolled in K-12, colleges, universities, and/or educational/training certificate programs. 

  • Includes enrollment to Membership on Us. Membership on Us includes an annual membership to the Museum and free admission for one year.
  • Available to individual students when they are visiting without a scheduled student group or school field trip.  
  • Also available to pre-scheduled students and student groups who would like to receive enrollment to Membership on Us.  
  • Must have a valid school or student ID.

Individual Adult Admission: $19.95 per person 

Available to adults and adult groups who would like to receive enrollment to Membership on Us. 

  • No pre-registration required
  • Includes enrollment to Membership on Us. Membership on Us includes an annual membership to the Museum and free admission for one year.

School Group Information

Below you will find more information about the student to chaperone ratios that are covered within the group pricing. Please note: At this time, all group visits to the Museum are self-guided only. We are unable to offer any guided tours of the Museum at this time. 

  • K-5th grade school groups require 4 students to 1 adult ratio  
  • 6th-12th grade schools require 8 students to 1 ratio. 
  • Post-secondary school groups require 1 adult chaperone per group.  
  • Any additional adults outside of the above student to adult ratio will need to either pay the discounted group rate of $10.95, or if they would like to receive Membership on Us pay the full admission price of 19.95.   
  • School/student groups interested in receiving the discounted group rate must schedule your group date and time with the Education Department.

Adult Group Information

  • All adult groups require one lead per group. 
  • Adult groups interested in receiving the discounted group rate must schedule you group date and time with the Education Department.

SCHOLARSHIPS

Admission Access Scholarship

The Education Department at the Museum of Us currently offers school/student groups access scholarships through the generous support of community partnerships and philanthropic grants. This financial support enables our team to offer expanded access to the Museum in the form of discounted group admission costs, Membership on Us, and bus scholarships – based upon group qualifications. Below is more information about the scholarships we provide and the link to submit a request for an access scholarship:

  • Many of the access scholarships offered by the Museum include Membership on Us scholarships for the chaperones and students within the approved group.  
  • All scholarships must be pre-approved by the Education Department. The Museum’s admissions desk cannot provide scholarships at time of entry.  
  • Access scholarships are limited and subject to availability

Bus Access Scholarship

The Education Department at the Museum of Us currently offers K-12 school groups bus scholarships through the generous support of community partnerships and philanthropic grants. This financial support enables our team to offer bus scholarships to school groups in need.

Bus scholarships are limited and are subject to availability. Below is more information about the scholarships, the process approval and reimbursement, as well as the link to submit a request to be approved for a bus scholarship.  

  • You must order your school bus from your school district. The Museum is not allowed to order/schedule your school bus(es).  
  • Bus scholarships do not typically exceed $300. If you are in need of more support than $300, please reach out directly to the Education Department at education@museumofus.org. 

 

Bus Access Scholarship Application Process:

  3. Scholarship confirmation received, please order your school bus.
  • Important: Teachers are responsible to order their buses, not the Museum 
  • Buss Access Scholarship is reimbursement only.

 

Reimbursement Process:

  • Email the Museum’s accounting department (accountspayable@museumofus.org) and Education Department (education@museumofus.org) the following: 1) a copy of the transportation purchase order, 2) bus payment receipt, and 3) an Invoice billing the “Museum of Us” for the total cost on the receipt. 
  • Please indicate in your email which of the two reimbursement options below your school would prefer.
    • Option 1: Automated Clearing House (ACH) Electronic Payment.  
    • Option 2: A physical check that will be issued to the address and organization on the invoice. All checks will be mailed out within 10-14 business days.
